Karbonn adds one more to the available options of tablets – The
Cosmic Smart Tab 10. It is Karbonn’s second tablet with Android 4.1
after it became the first manufacturer in India to launch a budget
android tablet PC with Jelly Bean on board. The tablet has a 9.7 inch capacitive
touch display with a resolution of 1024×768 pixels. It shows off an
elegant design with black color suiting both the genders of all ages.
The
tablet PC is powered by the 1.5GHz ARM Cortex – A9 Dual Core
processor and has 1 GB DDR3 RAM which becomes a treat for gamers. The
powerful CPU increases the multi-tasking capabilities of the tablet. The
smart tab has an internal store of 1.5GB and includes a microSD card
for up to 32 GB of additional storage. The display measures 24.6cm
diagonally; can sense upto 10 fingers and also have 3D-G sensors.
In terms of camera, it seems very basic with a 2MP primary camera and
a VGA front-camera. Karbonn claims that the Cosmic Tablet is capable of
1080p HD Video Recording. The connectivity options for the tablet
include WiFi, USB, Bluetooth and HDMI interface. Though, there’s no slot
for SIM Card, hence no space for 3G but it supports any external dongle
which makes-up for the small drawback.
This
android tablet is lightened by a 6000 MAh battery which keeps the show
running. This lithium ion battery can lasts up to a day with normal
usage and for couple of days on stand by mode. On a continuous usage, it
would run for about 5 hours. The smart tab 10 runs on Android Jelly
Bean 4.1, the latest in the market and comes with pre-embedded apps and
games such as YouTube, E-Book, Google Currents, Angry Birds Seasons,
Just Dial, Turbo FLY 3D, Flipboard, Kingsoft Office, Facebook and more.
The price tag seems very attractive. It seems a great deal at Rs.
9,900 with the only drawbacks being no 3G SIM Card slot and a below
average camera quality. It emerges as a competition to the Google Nexus 7
and beats it with a bigger screen and a better processor.
